Ludovic Nicon
A M Sc in Hydrodynamics and Marine Engineering from the Engineering school Centrale Nantes, France with specialized knowledge and experience in (damaged) stability calculations, forensic investigations, hydrodynamic studies in relation to roll resonance, mooring studies, metocean data analyses and wave studies.
For large motions of ships and evaluation of roll resonance Ludovic has co-developed the METIS Time-Domain model as to simulate large non-linear motion response of ships in waves.
He is able to model ships of various classes used for mooring studies in combination with Aktis DMA or SHIP-Moorings as well as maneuvering studies in combination with SHIP-Navigator.
His modelling abilities include the use of the following ship hydrodynamic models: METIS TD (Aktis), Aktis DMA (Aktis), SHIP-Moorings, SHIP-Navigator, AQWA (ANSYS), Orcawave (Orcina).
In addition, Mr. Nicon uses the following software: Matlab, AutoCAD (progeCAD), SolidWorks.
